Fifth Sunday of Easter (Year A)

Are you exhausted from endless searches for the truth? Worried about life’s mysteries? Wondering what comes next? Jesus boldly declares, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." He doesn’t just point the way, teach the truth, or promise life — He embodies all of these. His statement is a powerful proclamation: He is the very essence of truth and life itself. As God, He is the source of all truth; as man, He exemplifies truth personified. Every pursuit begins and ends with Him — He IS truth, the ultimate communication of truth.



Pope Benedict XVI echoes this, affirming that Jesus’s declaration is an invitation to a personal encounter with Christ, not merely following rules. He emphasizes that Christ is the true measure of humanity, offering freedom, profound truth, and authentic life. Trusting Christ is fearless — because when we welcome Him into our lives, we lose nothing but gain everything — freedom, beauty, and greatness.


He is life itself. God has no beginning and needs no one — His self-sufficiency rooted in perfect, unlimited nature. Only what lasts forever can truly satisfy. Humans long for permanence. When we accept this, we realize our life’s purpose is to prepare us for eternity. Eternal life isn’t just when we die — it begins when we embrace Jesus. Our life's meaning is revealed only when rooted in the Father, as Jesus taught.




In the chaotic currents of human existence, we have only one real chance for survival: to find meaning in the Heart of the Creator. To see Jesus is to see the Father — they dwell in each other. Together, they pour their Spirit into creation with the fiery brilliance of passion and the unstoppable force of a whirlwind. It is this Spirit that ignites our hearts with confidence that love reigns supreme — love conquers all, and love gives life its true significance. We ask for His love, placing our hope in Him.

  REPORTING LIVE FROM ROME GOOD SHEPHERD, I AM BLESSED AND SO THANKFUL!! I had just wrapped up the final lecture of the day at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome with my thesis moderator, Professor Lewis Ayres. This is the same prestigious university that counts St. Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Francis Prevost among its illustrious alumni!  On my way home, I called my mom to wish her a Happy Birthday, reminding her of my dad’s passing on the same day over a decade ago.
