EMBRACE GOD’S CALL AND IGNITE A CHANGE
Wednesday of week 19 in Ordinary Time
Deuteronomy 34:1-12
Psalm 65(66):1-3,5,16-17
Matthew 18:15-20
In Pope Francis’ captivating encyclical, *Laudato Si*, the world comes alive as a vibrant sacrament of communion! (#9) The climate, too, shines as a collective treasure meant for all to cherish and protect. (#23) This thrilling interconnectivity of all creation is beautifully illustrated in Jesus’ words: “If two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among you.” (Mt. 18:20) The spirit of unity and collaboration is nothing short of sacramental!
Consider the powerful moment when Moses passed on the mantle of leadership: though he died, God's Promises lived on! His blessing of Joshua, son of Nun, was a dynamic act of interconnectivity that empowered the people. It was this gesture that led the Israelites to wholeheartedly obey Joshua, fulfilling what the Lord had commanded Moses. (Deut. 34:10)
Each of us has a unique vocation, an exhilarating invitation from God to be a force for transformation in the world! Everything is woven together in a magnificent mosaic where harmony, beauty, peace, and justice are meant to flourish. Let's embrace this calling and ignite change!
