Every single fish in the sea has its moment! Even the ones we consider “bad” get swept up with the day's catch. Think about it! Just like flour that transforms into delicious, leavened bread, we too have a vibrant hope for ourselves and the world around us! It doesn’t matter where we come from, what we carry, or what we’ve been through—we're all ready to bloom!
Imagine the joy of planting seeds, harvesting wheat, and watching the dough rise—it’s all about growing the Kingdom! This is our chance to unleash the incredible power of the divine within us and share that gift with our community!
Sure, the seed might seem tiny, but that’s where the magic begins! Yeast, on its own, is just a speck, but together with everything else, it transforms into something extraordinary. Building the Kingdom takes teamwork! It involves nurturing rich soil, providing water, basking in sunlight, and lots of care and love. Step by step, the branches will stretch and grow. From the smallest beginnings, towering giants emerge, just like a mighty Sequoia! It all has to start somewhere, and it requires our dedication to thrive. We all need to tend to the seedlings in our hearts and offer that same nurturing spirit to everyone we encounter—even those we struggle to love: the homeless, the outcasts, the sick, the family members who’ve hurt us, the spouses who betrayed us, and anyone who seems "different."
So, how about today, right this minute, we open our hearts and let God plant that incredible seed of His Kingdom within us? Let’s be the fertile ground, the yeast, the dedicated gardener! Let’s create that environment for others too!
Together, we can witness the Kingdom flourish.
Does it matter if we’re perfect? Not! Scripture reassures us: “My angel will go before you.” (Exodus 32:34)
Dear God of all,
Thank you for the remarkable gift of the seed!
Grant us the grace to nurture the garden of our hearts,
and especially to care for all the faces of Christ we meet every day. Amen
