THE PRESENT MOMENT SERVES AS A CRITICAL JUNCTURE FOR SEEKING SALVATION 



In the Gospel narrative presented today, there is a profound atmosphere of fear and dread among those who approach Jesus to convey the tragic news of the massacre of certain Galileans by Pontius Pilate, who, appallingly, mingled their blood with the sacrificial offerings being made in the temple in Jerusalem. The temple, a sacred site, serves as a refuge for the people of God. It is conceivable that some individuals believed this event might incite Jesus, a prophet from Galilee, to initiate a revolt or deter Him from continuing His journey to Jerusalem. Additionally, there may have been assumptions that the Galileans' possible sinful nature could have contributed to their tragic fate.



Repentance embodies the essence of life, while procrastination can be viewed as an unwarranted consumption of time. We are granted the blessed opportunity for repentance concerning our transgressions, and the urgency to act is paramount. The present moment serves as a critical juncture for seeking salvation.



Addressing the concept of salvation, it is imperative to acknowledge the significance of individual agency in shaping one’s future. Each person must deliberate on the path they intend to pursue, making informed choices that reflect their aspirations and values.



I hope that the manifestations of divine love continue to provide you with strength and growth. May Christ remain a steadfast and victorious influence in your life, and may Mary, as the refuge for those who err, consistently intercede on our behalf. Amen.

They witness the behavior of the tenant farmers in a parable, which mirrors their violence, selfishness, and desire for possession. Despite being confronted with the truth, they are too afraid to change and miss the opportunity for a conversion of heart. Instead, they react defensively and deceive themselves, eventually acting out the negative roles depicted in the parable.  The Church commemorates the Martyrs of Uganda today, particularly St. Charles Lwanga and their companions, who bore witness to Christ by sacrificing their lives. This serves as a reminder for us to be faithful stewards of God's creation and caretakers of His people, willing to serve with love and faith, even to the point of laying down our lives.
